The landmark tourism trade event, delivered by Tourism Australia in partnership with Tourism Northern Territory, will bring 300 of the world’s leading travel agents to the Top End to experience first-hand Australia’s unique cultural, natural, and lifestyle offerings.

As the gateway to the Northern Territory, Darwin International Airport will roll out the welcome mat for delegates with vibrant terminal activations showcasing the best of the Territory’s culture, food, and creativity. Darwin Airport Resorts will provide premium accommodation, ensuring guests enjoy a first-class stay in the Top End.

Airport Development Group Executive General Manager, People Culture and Community, Sandra de Kock, said:

“Darwin International Airport is proud to be the first impression of the Northern Territory for these international delegates. We look forward to working with Tourism Australia and the Northern Territory Government, Tourism and Hospitality to ensure the moment visitors step off the plane, they know they have arrived somewhere special.

With our unique terminal activations and world-class resort accommodation, we will showcase the very best of what the Territory has to offer, setting the scene for an unforgettable G’Day Australia 2026.”

“We’re proud to welcome G’Day Australia to the Northern Territory for the first time in 2026, a landmark opportunity to showcase our unique lifestyle, vibrant culture, and world-class tourism experiences to global travel leaders.

“This event not only puts the Territory in the international spotlight but also drives long-term economic benefits for our local businesses, operators, and communities.”

Tourism is a vital contributor to the Northern Territory’s economy, supporting thousands of jobs and businesses. Events like G’Day Australia help drive international visitation, create business opportunities for local tourism operators, and cement the Territory’s place as a must-visit destination.
