  • Asset Manager – Parking and Ground Transport (Darwin)

    ADG is seeking an Asset Manager – Parking Ground and Transport to maximise the capital value and net income from the car parking and ground transport assets owned by Airport Development Group (ADG) at Darwin, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek Airports.


    You will be responsible to ensure journeys to and from the ADG’s airports are made simple and easy, by ensuring a high-level of service is provided to transport providers, passengers, customers and staff.


    We are looking for someone who has demonstrated experience within Asset / Contract Management who can offer strategic solutions that balance budget, community service needs and modernising facilities and infrastructure at ADG. 


    Duties include but not limited to:

    • Develop standards and KPI’s, including customer experience, operational efficiency and health and safety for 3rd party car parking and ground transport operators.
    • Effectively manage the contract for the 3rd party car parking and ground transport operator against agreed KPIs to ensure that an agreed level of service is achieved.
    • Build strong business relationships with B2B customers and stakeholders to maintain ADG’s business reputation.
    • Ensure commercially negotiated outcomes are properly documented and administered based on legal advice and within ADG’s delegations.
    • Develop transport links and partnerships with transport providers.
    • Ensure equitable access for transport providers; fulfill our compliance and regulatory obligations.
    • Prepare an annual asset strategy for the car parking and ground transport assets with the objective of maximizing the capital value and net operating income performance.
    • Benchmark performance of the assets against other airports of a similar complexity and PAX volumes.
    • Identify required capital upgrades, prioritise those capital upgrades and maintain a lifecycle capital expenditure forecast for the car parking assets.
    • Forecast future revenue and operating expenses and take measures to maximise net operating income over the life of the asset strategy.
    • Develop new (or augment existing) public parking products to suit the needs of existing or future customers.
    • Develop, monitor and be accountable for delivering actual performance against financial budgets, capital budget and business plan.
    • Develop and implement a marketing plan to appropriately promote public parking products.
    • Build public parking revenue through both drive-up and online booking channels by managing & improving the booking processes & customer interactions.
    • Continually measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives in generating greater public parking modal share and revenue.
    • Identify and implement a best-in-class data warehouse / analysis package to enable the live monitoring of the car parking assets.
    • Gain customer insights that increase the value of ground transport and public parking for our customers as well as ADG.

    To be successful you must have:

    • Demonstrated experience in developing asset strategies for car parking and ground transport assets across multiple locations.
    • Demonstrated experience in the effective procurement and management of 3rd party parking operators across multiple locations.
    • Demonstrated experience in analysis of data.
    • Proven people management skills.
    • Experience in marketing, market research, and/or customer insights.
    • Demonstrated high level conceptual thinking, creativity and analytical skills.
    • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
    • A high level of computer literacy especially MS office applications.
    • Proven negotiation skills, and proven ability to develop effective partnerships.
    • Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce or marketing (or similar) discipline.
    • Eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card and pass an Australian Federal Police Check.

  • Energy Business Manager (Darwin)

    Airport Development Group (ADG) owns and manages diverse infrastructure assets across the Northern Territory including airports, hotels, aviation, and commercial buildings. Investing, developing, and managing long-term infrastructure to grow the Territory and Northern Australia.


    ADG is seeking an Energy Business Manager to maximise the capital value and net income of the energy business owned by Airport Development Group (ADG). The energy business includes embedded portfolio networks at Darwin, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek Airports. 


    This role will also be responsible in making a substantial contribution towards the achievement of ADG’s aspiration to become net zero by 2030.


    Duties include but not limited to:

    • Prepare a 5-year business unit strategy each year for ADG’s energy assets with the objective of maximizing the capital value and net operating income performance of ADG’s energy business.
    • Develop and act as principal for the energy assets annual budget including revenue and cost management.
    • Assess and review data trends impacting net operating income.
    • Benchmark performance of the energy assets against other similar/or competing assets.
    • Monitor industry trends in energy provision to ensure that the level of service provision is in line with or exceeds industry trends.
    • Monitor NT electricity market developments and recommend opportunities.
    • Identify required capital upgrades, prioritise those capital upgrades and maintain a lifecycle capital expenditure forecast for the energy assets.
    • Forecast future revenue and operating expenses and take measures to maximise net operating income over the life of the asset strategy.
    • Undertake feasibility assessments for new or upgraded energy solutions to suit the needs of ADG and existing / future customers.
    • Procure wholesale energy supply contracts on behalf of ADG.
    • Identify, develop and negotiate energy supply agreements with ADG’s retail customers.
    • Monitor pricing across ADG’s portfolio of retail customers to ensure 100% compliance with existing agreements.
    • Procure a 3rd party service provider to provide portfolio level meter monitoring of all ADG energy assets.
    • Implement a best-in-class data analysis package to enable live monitoring of the performance of ADG’s energy assets.
    • Substantially contribute towards ADG’s aspiration for Darwin Airport to become net zero by 2030.
    • Lead strategy to monitor and optimise the energy performance across the portfolio of ADG’s fixed assets, including terminal, hotels and property.
    • Act as project sponsor and work with external consultants, the facilities team, and the project management team to seamlessly execute new capital and upgrades to existing renewable energy assets or new solar and battery assets.

  • Security and Compliance Coordinator (Darwin)

    ADG is seeking a Security and Compliance Coordinator to support the Darwin Airport in providing direction and compliance with Airside Operations, Safety, Security and Environmental matters. You will maintain compliance with regulatory bodies such as CASA, Cyber and Infrastructure Security Centre and NT WorkSafe. 


    We are looking for someone who has demonstrated security experience ideally within the Aviation industry, who has the ability to perform Security Compliance Officer duties and on occasion respond to after hour emergencies or issues on-call. 


    Offering a diverse, busy workload with interdepartmental collaboration this role is well suited to someone who possesses high level administrative and customer service skills with demonstrated experience in compliance auditing


    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Oversee regulatory Aviation Transport Security compliance.
    • Provide input to contractor performance management, monitoring performance against key performance indicators and review action plans to address performance.
    • Oversee the distribution and duties associated with administering Aviation Security Identification Cards (ASIC) and Visitor Identification Cards (VIC), including acting as an agent for ASIC issuing body. 
    • Assist in the design and implementation of project related security policies/conditions and establish a clear course of action for implementation and review.
    • Perform regular security inspections.
    • Responsible for analysing, auditing, and reporting of security program outcomes. 
    • Coordinate the distribution of Access Control and CCTV systems in line with ADG policy.
    • Respond to Security emergencies where required, including out of hours response.
    • Meet deadlines, liaise, and update stakeholders on status, processes, and procedures.
    • Inspect, edit, and verify documents and data entry including ASIC processing.
    • Collection and collation of data for preparation of security related reports.
    • Coordination of the Security Administration Assistants duties.
    • Maintain a close working relationship and provide operational support and guidance with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure that all projects are implemented with the highest degree of consultation, safety, security, on time and on budget.
    • Coordinate security operations ensuring that security procedures are implemented and followed as per Standard Operating Procedures and Australian Government regulations.
    • Represent the Security Department at meetings, presentations, workshops, and act as a Point of Contact for security related matters. Liaise directly with government agencies and departments and provide support as and when required.
    • Coordinate with Accounts payable and vendors to resolve invoicing discrepancies.
    • Handle both hardcopy and electronic filing processes in accordance with quality assurance and information sensitivity/classification.
    • Action and respond to customer complaints within a timely manner, tracking outcomes and actions.
    • In consultation with Senior Airport Operations Coordinator, Head of Terminal Operations, WHS Advisor & Environment Manager, develop, standardise and maintain document control in relation to manuals, KPI’s, SOP’s, statistics and reports, including updating, collating and distribution of amendments.

    To be successful you must have:

    • Demonstrated experience in compliance auditing, with a proven track record of identifying and mitigating regulatory risks in a security-focused environment.
    • Excellent skills in information collection and analysis procedures with a view to recognising potential threats and dangers. 
    • An ability to exercise sound and strong management skills in times of crisis and emergencies.
    • Excellent planning and organisational skills including the production of policy and procedures papers supporting projects and operations.
    • Ability to provide instructions clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. A high sense of discretion and integrity when dealing with sensitive information. Act in an honest, ethical manner and be accountable and responsible.
    • High degree of responsibility, initiative, alertness, the ability to prioritise a heavy workload and to delegate accordingly. Demonstrates sound judgement in security operations and information management skills.
    • Professional attitude and the ability to build successful working relationships with contracts outside of the project Security Department. Demonstrates an integrated approach and attitude through normal work activities and thorough understanding of the Airport environment and its stakeholders.
    • High standard of computer literacy and an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
    • Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card and pass an Australian Federal Police background check.
