From Grassroots to Great Impact: ADG Celebrates Community Champions 

Airport Development Group (ADG) is celebrating the positive impact of its Community Grants Program, announcing the recipients of Round Four and recognising the meaningful contributions being made across the Northern Territory.

 

The Round Four grants support seven grassroots organisations delivering meaningful initiatives across the Northern Territory, spanning education, disability inclusion, arts and culture, veteran wellbeing, youth engagement, aged care participation and wildlife rehabilitation.

The ADG Community Grants Program is about backing grassroots organisations that make a genuine difference every day. These initiatives demonstrate the strength, resilience and creativity of our communities, and we are proud to support projects that enhance wellbeing, inclusion and opportunity across the Territory.

Round Five – Applications Opening Soon

Community organisations will soon have be able to apply for the next round of funding.

 

  • Applications open: Thursday, 7 May 2026
  • Applications close: Thursday, 18 June 2026
  • Successful applicants notified: 17 July 2026
  • Grant value: $500 – $2,000

 

The grants support local projects that deliver lasting social, cultural and environmental benefits across the regions where ADG operates.

ADG’s Community Grants Program continues to empower local organisations that strengthen connection, resilience and opportunity across Northern Australia.


Program Highlights


Acacia Hill School:  Supporting the Riding for the Disabled Central Australia equine assisted therapy program, helping students with intellectual and complex disabilities build balance, coordination, communication skills and emotional wellbeing.

 

Australian Regional Remote Community Services (ARRCS): Delivering culturally tailored art and craft activities in aged care facilities, guided by Indigenous artist Peter Lacey, supporting cultural expression, memory stimulation and resident wellbeing.

 

Darwin Toy Library: Expanding STEAM learning opportunities through borrowable science, technology, engineering, arts and maths resources to promote creativity, problem solving and equitable early learning access.

 

Red Dirt Poetry: Delivering the Red Dirt Poetry Festival 2026 in Mparntwe/Alice Springs, a four-day celebration of spoken word, workshops and commissioned works amplifying diverse voices and cultural connection.

 

Reeling Veterans Inc: Expanding its mental health-focused fishing outreach through the Off Grid project, using Starlink connectivity to reach veterans in remote areas and improve access to support services.

 

Top End Calisthenics Club Incorporated: Providing uniforms and equipment bags to reduce financial barriers, strengthen team identity and support participation among young performers across Darwin and Palmerston.

 

Woollybutt Wildlife Rescue Inc:  Establishing a movable Wallaby Kindy and Recovery Enclosure to rehabilitate injured and orphaned native wildlife and strengthen community response during storms and wet season events.
