Airport Development Group (ADG) proudly marked NAIDOC Week 2025 by bringing together Indigenous Elders, trainees, staff, and the wider airport community through a week of meaningful and inclusive events.

This year’s theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy”, was embraced across our airport precincts, celebrating the strength, resilience, and enduring cultural legacy of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

A special luncheon with local Elders and participants from our Indigenous Training Academy provided a powerful opportunity for intergenerational connection and cultural exchange.

From Indigenous-themed morning teas in Alice Springs and Cairns to the NAIDOC March in Darwin, our teams came together to reflect, learn, and celebrate.

“At ADG, we are proud to create space where culture is recognised, respected and celebrated,” said Sam Watkins, Manager of the Indigenous Training Academy.

“NAIDOC Week honours those who paved the way and ensures our Indigenous trainees and staff feel seen and supported in a workplace that values cultural identity.”

Our NAIDOC Week program reflects ADG’s ongoing commitment to Indigenous employment, cultural recognition across our aviation operations at Darwin International Airport, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek airports and Darwin Airport Resorts and the Darwin Airport Resorts.
