ADG Champions Indigenous Business Connections During NAIDOC Week
“These moments help break down barriers and build meaningful partnerships that support sustainable employment for Indigenous Australians. It's about listening, learning, and creating pathways that work,”
As part of ongoing NAIDOC Week celebrations, Airport Development Group (ADG) today hosted a special NAIDOC Morning Tea with a clear purpose - to build stronger connections between ADG suppliers and Indigenous employment agencies.
The event brought together representatives from 13 local businesses and five Indigenous employment agencies, each of whom shared insights into their organisation’s role in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment outcomes.
ADG Manager of the Indigenous and Community Projects, Rychelle Vines, said the event was a valuable opportunity to grow awareness and foster collaboration.
“These moments help break down barriers and build meaningful partnerships that support sustainable employment for Indigenous Australians. It's about listening, learning, and creating pathways that work,” said Ms Vines.
The NT Chamber of Commerce also joined the gathering and expressed interest in sharing ADG’s initiative across its business networks, further amplifying the message of economic inclusion and Indigenous opportunity.
ADG’s commitment to First Nations communities is reflected not just during NAIDOC Week, but through ongoing partnerships, cultural training, and initiatives like the ADG Indigenous Training Academy, which plays a key role in upskilling and mentoring Indigenous jobseekers across the Northern Territory.
ADG acknowledges and celebrates the significant contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to business, community, and culture, and remains committed to supporting economic participation.
