ADG recognised for contribution to Northern Territory economy

Airport Development Group (ADG) has been recognised at the 2026 NT Business Chamber Awards, taking out the Supply & Logistics, Medium-Large Business award.

The award recognises ADG’s significant contribution to the Northern Territory through its network of Darwin International Airport, Alice Springs Airport and Tennant Creek Airport, and the critical role the organisation plays in connecting the Territory to domestic and international markets.

For more than 25 years, ADG has provided the aviation infrastructure that supports tourism, trade, logistics, defence, resources, investment, and regional economic development across the Northern Territory.

ADG EGM Airports, Rob Porter said "the award was recognition of the people across ADG who work every day to keep the Territory connected."

“This award is a great recognition of the ADG team and the important role we play in supporting the Territory,” Rob said.

ADG is much more than an airport operator. Our airports are economic gateways that connect Territorians, businesses and industries with customers, markets, visitors, investors and opportunities across Australia and the world.

“Our focus is firmly on the Territory and creating the connectivity and infrastructure that helps Territorians, businesses and industry grow and prosper.

“Congratulations to the entire ADG team. This award recognises the outstanding effort of our team and the partnerships we have built across government, industry, airlines, and the broader community.”

ADG’s airports support the movement of people and goods across one of the world’s most geographically dispersed jurisdictions, with aviation connectivity critical to industries including tourism, mining, energy, defence, agriculture, seafood, and healthcare.

Over the past two years, ADG has continued to strengthen the Territory’s aviation network, successfully attracting new connections and creating greater choice for Territorians and visitors. These connections strengthen access to domestic and international markets, supporting tourism, trade, investment, and opportunities for Territory businesses.

ADG also supports the Territory economy through infrastructure investment, local procurement, employment, commercial development and partnerships across aviation, tourism, logistics, retail, hospitality, construction, and professional services.

The NT Business Chamber award recognises ADG’s ongoing commitment to building a more connected, resilient, and prosperous Northern Territory.
