Honouring 90 Years of Service: Airport Development Group Supports CWA Tennant Creek Celebrations

Airport Development Group (ADG) is proud to support the Country Women's Association (CWA) Tennant Creek Branch as it celebrates an extraordinary 90 years of service to the Barkly community. 

Through ADG's Community Grants Program, funding has been provided to assist with the branch's 90th Anniversary Celebration Event, bringing together community members, local organisations, former and current members, and visitors from across the Northern Territory to recognise the CWA's longstanding contribution to regional life.

Established more than nine decades ago, the CWA Tennant Creek Branch has played an important role in supporting women, families and community wellbeing across the Barkly. Its legacy includes advocacy, community service, welfare initiatives, and support for cultural and social programs that have helped shape the region. 

The public celebration will feature performances and involvement from local children and young people, including participants from schools, Girl Guides and community programs, reflecting the organisation's ongoing commitment to inclusion, community connection and intergenerational engagement.

CWA Tennant Creek Branch President said the event is an opportunity to honour the branch's rich history while inspiring future generations.
